When you update the “new install” machine to be current, it will look the same. There is no way to get back to the better, “old” spacing. Both machines need to be manually updated. On the same screen you captured, click on the “Update Options” button then click on “Update Now” to force the update.
You may have to do it more than once to get all of the updates.
